Engine Compartment:  Well I finally finished!  It took me about a month, and about 100 hours of work.  I stripped the engine bay walls down to bare metal, prepped it with all the appropriate Eastwood paint prep materials.  If you are considering painting your engine bay, you have to use Eastwood.  It costs much more than the junk at Pep Boys, but really makes a difference.  You get what you pay for.  You'll spend a lot of hours prepping to paint, so you might as well make it count.  I took everything out of the engine bay except the block itself.  With just a 289, there was plenty of working room.  If you have a big block, you may want to consider pulling the engine.

I also installed Spectre Magnabraid II hoses.  I tried using just the hose sleeves on my existing hoses, but suffice to say - they are total, utter, worthless pieces of shit.  The premade hoses are okay (hoses already covered with the sleeves), but don't waste your time trying the hose sleeves.  Also, replace every hose clamp in the connectors, no matter which option you decide to go with - the ones that are included are cheap junk that will snap before they are even snug.  I had to modify almost every connector with a dremel.  The entire process was extremely frustrating.  I spent more time modifying them than I did on any other aspect of the project.  Knowing what I know now, I would not use them ever again.  Never.  Never ever.  Completely worthless pieces of dog shit.  Get the point?

I learned a lot about the mechanics of my car.  It's not a concours correct job, but it's how I wanted it...

Stereo:  It was raining today, so I had to do something indoors.  Since my garage is no bigger than the bathroom, that leaves anything mechanical out.  So, I decided to take advantage of the time, and revisit my stereo installation.  I installed a stereo in the glovebox previously, and it was functional, but it needed dressed up a little.  I'm pretty happy how it turned out.

Seat Covers:  The pictures of the seats before don't really show how poor of condition the seat covers were actually in.  Also, when taking off the old covers, I broke the seat emblem backing posts.  If you're doing this yourself, take care not to brake the posts off the backs.

Door Panels:  I took the door panels apart, and painted the doors, and door inserts.  I still plan on getting new inserts, but for now, it works...

Stereo Install:  I removed the old CD player that the previous owner had cut a hole into the dash to mount.  After installing new aluminum panels, I thought I would be okay with no music - wrong.   I wanted to leave the original AM radio in the dash, and install a new stereo in the glove box.  It worked out, but it was much more work that I had expected.  Well worth the effort though, to keep the interior looking original.

Steering Wheel:  I finally got the original steering wheel from the guy I bought the car from.  It was in pretty rough shape, but I was able to fix it up some, and I also installed a new instrument cluster, as well as all new brushed aluminum inserts.

Concord Mall Mustang Show: This was a small showing of select classic mustangs.  Some of the Mustangs were restored so well, you would have sworn they were straight off of the showroom floor!  The pictures aren't as good as I had hoped to get, but the cars were setup in the mall itself, and people were mobbing them...

Kimberton PA Mustang Show:  This was a small Mustang show that's held yearly in Kimberton, Pennsylvania.  There were quite a few classic mustangs, and some really sharp newer ones.

Rocker Panel Moldings:  I took these pictures after installing new chrome rocker panel moldings.  I think they frame out the car very well.  While waiting for my daughter to finish her horse lessons, I noticed that several of the horses were looking out of their coral at my mustang.  I decided I needed a picture of that.  There is one particular picture where both horses are admiring the new pony....

Miscellaneous Pics:  After shopping at every online Mustang store (mostly from work), I realized that I needed to take a boatload of pictures so that when shopping for parts, I would know exactly what I had and what I needed.  I had just finished putting on new 10 spoke styled steel wheels the day before taking these pictures.

As Purchased:  Pictures of my 1967 Mustang Coupe as I bought it.  I purchased the car off of eBay, and flew down to Tennessee to pick it up.  Two hours after the plane landed I was on the road back to PA.  I drove the 800+ miles back to PA straight thru, stopping only to get coffee.
